"I visited Kottayam The Restaurant with high hopes, specifically looking for authentic Kerala cuisine, but unfortunately, the experience was quite average and didn't live up to the label. Authenticity & Service: For a place branding itself as a Kerala restaurant, I was surprised to find that none of the service staff spoke Malayalam. While language isn't everything, it definitely disconnects you from the "authentic" vibe they are trying to sell, especially when trying to ask about specific traditional preparations. Food Quality & Price: The food was the biggest letdown. It simply did not taste like authentic Kerala fare. The freshness of the ingredients seemed lacking, and the flavors were generic rather than the rich, distinct spice blends you expect from this region. Considering the quality and portion sizes, the prices felt steep compared to other similar restaurants in the area. Ambience: The atmosphere was underwhelming. It didn't feel inviting or have the cultural charm one might expect. Overall, we were not satisfied.😌"

"Veg Kerala meal was the star: unlimited fluffy rice, homely sambar, pachadi, payasam and more. We also ordered chilli mushroom that brought the crunch with perfect spice kick, and malabar parotta was buttery-soft. Shoutout to restaurant staff for the warm hospitality. Vishal and Kali attended us, explained dishes, suggested pairings, and kept the unlimited refills flowing seamlessly. Ambience screams Kottayam - Alleppey houseboat feel with wooden beams and epic elephant decor dripping in gold threads, service on point, flavors legit comforting—total win for a Kerala fix in Bengaluru. 5 stars, coming back!"

"We had their sadya, prawns ghee roast, chicken biriyani, kottayam spl chatti chor and seer fish fry and every item was just below average. The only better item in taste was the seer fish fry. And the price they are charging is too high for the quality they serve. All items in sadya tasted really bad. Ambience and service was ok."
