"I stopped in the UAE on my way back to Canada after my Kerala vacation, mainly to try the famous Paragon Biryani. My friend from Abu Dhabi and I drove to Dubai, finding the spot with Google Maps.
It was totally worth the time and money. The food was amazing, the best Biryani I've ever had. The vibe and cleanliness were great too. Mr. Suhail (hope I got his name right) from Kozhikode took our order and treated us so well, making the visit super memorable.
Food 10/10
Service 10/10"

"Calicut Paragon Restaurant LLC in Karama is easily one of the best places in Dubai for authentic Kerala cuisine, and our experience there was absolutely fantastic. The moment we entered, we were impressed by the vast seating area and beautifully designed interiors that blend modern comfort with the charm of traditional Kerala style. It feels spacious, welcoming, and perfect for both families and large groups.
The food, as expected from Paragon, was simply exceptional. Their meals are some of the best you can find in Dubai — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The biryanis are outstanding, especially the Kanthari Mutton Biriyani, Kozhikodan Beef Biriyani, and their signature Calicut-style biriyani. Each dish carries authentic Malabar flavors, with tender meat, fragrant rice, and spices blended just right.
The variety of fish available is another highlight, offering everything from fried specialties to delicious curries, all prepared with remarkable freshness and taste. It’s a paradise for seafood lovers.
The staff deserves special mention — friendly, attentive, and very well-coordinated. They ensure quick service even during busy hours and maintain great hospitality throughout."
"We had a good experience in the restaurant. It was excellent in terms of quality, taste as well as service from the staffs. Got to say delicious food is the highlight of this place.
The chicken biryani served is my absolute favourite one, especially the pickle served along with it is beyond description. The restaurant was crowded when we visited on Monday during lunch But they have ample parking space available. The place is packed to the rafters and the crowd can get overwhelming very quickly, however the food is absolutely worth ! chicken biryani which had the rice cooked to perfection and such flavour. The service is quick and efficient - there are three different seating area
Overall it was a pretty great dine-in experience"

"The food is awesome, and as someone from Malabar, I really loved the taste of the mutton biryani. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
I just have a small suggestion. I ordered additional rice, and while the charge is not an issue at all, usually many restaurants include extra rice without charging. As a customer, seeing a separate charge might give a small negative impression, even though the food quality is excellent.
This is only a friendly suggestion, not a complaint. If possible, including it in the total amount as a single charge might feel better from a customer’s point of view."
"The decision to go to Calicut Paragon Restaurant was spontaneous as I was on a 15hour layover in Dubai en route to India.
The restaurant was easily accessible and was quite close to my accommodation near the airport.
I had known about Paragon Restaurant from kerala both the kozhikode and Cochin locations but has never been to both before so it was a no brainer to try it out in Dubai.
The restaurant is well spacious, they have two levels, on the ground and another level above.
We were greeted by the staff who were friendly and courteous.
The staff who served us was Vijith who was really friendly, attentive and courteous.
Now coming to the food, for starters we ordered the mushroom and okra fry with salt and pepper and tandoori grilled paneer both of them were delicious with the tandoori grilled paneer being really spicy which was expected.
For the main course we ordered chicken varattiyathu and mix vegetable vattichathu with porotta and appam and it was absolutely amazing.
Especially the mix vegetable vattichathu which was delicious and probably one of the best veg dishes or currys I've ever had anywhere in the world.
They both went really well with porotta and appam and our bellies were full and content.
We finished with ordering grape juice and Avocado juice both of which were amazing but could have been served or prepared with more cold.
One final observation was the lack of Wi-Fi in the restaurant which is completely unacceptable for a restaurant of this stature which claims to be one of the top 5 iconic restaurants world-wide."
