"Kerala Lunch Home, Motilal Nagar serves authentic Kerala food with a very limited but focused menu—mainly veg, fish, and chicken thalis. If you’re looking for variety, this may not be the place, but if you want quality and authentic taste, it’s perfect. I ordered the chicken thali, and surprisingly, I ended up enjoying the veg items even more. The sambar rice was outstanding—so good that I took a second serving. The real highlight was the pineapple pachadi—absolutely mind-blowing. I even asked for extra because it was that good. The dry vegetable sabji made with beans, raw banana, coconut, and other vegetables tasted very homely. There was also a cabbage sabji—though I personally don’t like cabbage, it was well prepared. The chicken was properly cooked and tasty, but honestly, the pachadi and sambar stole the show for me. Their payasam is excellent—I had it twice. They also welcome you with hot red water, which feels very traditional and comforting. The service deserves a special mention. The owners relatives personally takes care of each table, explains every dish and ingredient, and even asks your preference—like whether you want vegetables in the sambar or only the gravy. It genuinely felt like eating at a relative’s home."

Dishes that require special mention: Fish Curry (Bangda), Semiya Paysum, Mango pickle, Pineapple Pachadi and Brown Rice with Sambar! The simplicity and homely behaviour of hosts will make you come back time and again. The anna and ammas who serve food serve it with so much love that it hardly feels like a restaurant. "When you enter this place it takes you back to the 90s home style type eatery places. Not those insta type places but a simple restaurant where nice authentic food is served. Highly recommend the paratha and the Kerala thali. The fish was just awesome. Very reasonable cost and if want to enjoy some nice Kerala food then a must visit place Call lie for the nice honest service too from the family 🙏🏽"

"Unexplored gem in goregaon for south indian meals. Visited the restaurant during Onam season. The pricing is extremely worth the portion sizes. This place is easy to miss when you pass by. The service is quick, no nonsense restaurant. It is run by a family who are very warm with their service which reflects in the food they serve too. Highly recommend this place to everyone who wants a taste of South India in Mumbai."
