"Even though I didn’t dine here, I got a chance to explore the beautiful surroundings and antique-filled spaces of the Ginger House Restaurant and Hotel — and it truly stands out. Located right beside the water, this place feels like stepping into a living museum. The décor is a blend of heritage, handcrafted wooden art, vintage furniture and stunning bronze idols — every corner looks picture-perfect and full of history. The open seating area overlooking the backwaters creates a peaceful vibe, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the view. Staff was polite and didn’t stop us from capturing photos/videos, which I really appreciated. I can't comment on the food taste yet, but the ambiance alone makes this place worth visiting. Perfect for anyone who loves antique charm, calm waterfront atmosphere, and unique décor."

"Fantastic antiques all around, drinks are nice and cold. Veg curry, rice, chapatti all good, however, what let it down was the Chicken 65. Such a shame, no currie leaves (absolute necessity in this dish) just a few overcooked bones. Awful. In fairness, it was removed from the bill immediately with no argument. Such a shame as the location and ambience are good."

"Stopped for a quick beer and a snack. Overall good experience and rhe food was very nice! However the service is not attentive at all. I sat at the table and needed to ask. Waiter to come after 7-8 minutes to clean the table as the previous customers orders were not taken away. After the waiter came, he took the tables and dropped them on the next door table and left it there for 30minutes, my table was never wiped down with a cloth 😂"

"Food: As a foodie I found the food to be not satisfactory although the ginger lemon soda was flavoursome. Service: As mentioned, service is slow. However it was so slow that we had to get up from our seats and call the waited ourselves despite signalling the waiter across our table numerous times. Atmosphere: Undeniably the antique interior decor is a feast for the eyes. From the ceilings to the intricate sculptures, this proves worthy for an antique enthusiast. Although, our table was beside the water whose banks were polluted heavily with plastic. There was an unpleasant stench of sewage that also lingered through the air the entire time."

"The food and the atmosphere is great, but the staff were rude and appeared to be courteous only toward foreign customers. As an Indian, it was deeply disappointing to experience such treatment from fellow citizens. They were hesitant to even seat us and the waitress dint serve water even after repeatedly asking. The staff needs to be trained."
