"Kayees is one of those bucket list places for anyone who loves biriyani. I finally got a chance to visit in the evening. The restaurant is quite spacious and comfortable, making it a good choice for families.
I ordered their famous biriyani. The quantity was more than enough for two people, which makes it really worth the price. The biriyani was definitely very good — flavorful and satisfying — but it didn’t give that “wow” feeling I was expecting after hearing so much about it. However, the salads and pickles served along with the biriyani were extremely tasty and added a nice touch to the meal.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Kayees is a nice and spacious restaurant, and I would surely recommend it for families and anyone who wants to try the popular Kayees Biriyani at least once."

"The best biryani in Kochi. We visit this restaurant whenever we are in Kochi. The restaurant has a limited menu, and the food items are very tasty. One of the main highlights here is the customer service. They use a token-based system rather than a first-come, first-served basis, and there is a dedicated waiting area for customers inside the restaurant."
"I tried their chicken biriyani, and it was absolutely mind-blowing. It’s been a long time since I’ve had biriyani this good. The flavors were on point—the chicken was perfectly cooked, and the accompaniments like date achaar, lemon pickle, and salad made it even better. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a top-notch biriyani experience. It’s truly worth it and definitely deserves a visit."
"1. The Biryani taste was good and filled with rich ingredients ✨🍚.
2. It was observed to be a little oily in its preparation 💧🥄.
3. The Chicken Biryani cost ₹220.
4. The restaurant is located opposite a Shiva Temple, helping with easy navigation 📍🕉️.
5. It gets very crowded during peak hours, indicating high demand and potential wait times 🚦 throng"
"Kayees Restaurant in Fort Kochi truly lives up to its reputation as one of the most famous dining spots in the area, especially for its biriyani. Although we visited for dinner and didn’t try the biriyani this time, our overall experience was very satisfying. We ordered porotta with pepper chicken, butter chicken, and chilli beef. Among these, the chilli beef was the clear standout for me. The beef pieces were perfectly cooked, tender, and clean, with no bones or unwanted fat, which made it very enjoyable. The flavor was well balanced and not overly oily.
The porotta was another highlight — crispy on the outside, soft inside, and paired well with all the gravies. Pepper chicken and butter chicken were decent and met expectations. The restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere and feels comfortable for dining with friends or family. A big plus is the availability of proper parking space, which is not always easy to find in Fort Kochi.
One small drawback is the limited variety of fish and seafood options. Only a few fish fry items were available, which was slightly disappointing considering the coastal location. Adding more seafood dishes would definitely enhance the menu. Overall, Kayees is worth visiting for its food quality and ambience."
