"I recently visited Lilliput Restaurant at Cherai Beach, and it turned out to be one of the best seafood experiences I’ve had. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxed beachside meal, and the dishes truly stand out.
I tried their prawns, squid, and fish, and every item was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The prawns were juicy, the squid was tender (not chewy at all), and the fish was succulent with the right blend of spices and morning I had a appam and puttu with veg kurma top notch. You can really taste the freshness and the care they put into preparing each dish.
A special mention and big congratulations to Mr. Sabheer, our waiter. His service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and always serving with a smile. He made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal and truly enhanced our dining experience.
If you’re visiting Cherai Beach, Lilliput is definitely a must-try for seafood lovers. Highly recommended! 🍤🐟🦑

"We reached here to find a filled and packed restaurant. Had a 45 min wait to find a table and finally got a table. And another 45mins for food to start coming.
Just a heads up - food will take time as, 30 mins minimum, it’s mentioned “on their menu”.
About the food itself, here’s what we ordered.
i) Mango Coconut Salad - (fancy but unnecessary) just raw mango chunks with desiccated coconut and few slices of capsicum of the name sake of it. 1/5
ii) Kanthaari Fish Pollichath - we asked for the King fish version out of Pearl Spot/ King Fish but when we got it it was Pearl Spot. Just a hype dish, nothing you’d miss out. Under seasoned and bland with all the coconut milk and I definitely don’t know why they put a few slices of raw mango chunks. Was definitely pointless and didn’t impart any flavor. The fish itself was also a bit undercooked and the Kanthaari(Birds Eye Chilly) was probably disappointed with itself and lost the spice to it. Just avoid this unless you’ve FOMO. 1/5
iii) Karimeen Fry - As simple as the name is, so was supposed to be the dish. But under seasoned and i think they tried to go for a rawa toast style but was another disappointment. 2/5
iv) Meen Mulakittath / “Vanjikaaran Meen Currty” - this dish is a icon for Mallu households and I’m yet to have a decent version anywhere. Lilliput also let me down. Tomato filled sweet fish curry with bland fish and raw chilli powder flavor. 0/5
v) Prawns Tawa Fry - This was probably the only star item. If only they put the level of attention they put to this in the others maybe it would’ve kept some points up. 5/5
vi) Putt / Steam Cakes - 2/5. No comment.
I’ll give the person who was taking my order a 5/5. My guy was on his toes running left and right. Partially felt bad for him to be one man army but he held up well.
To the chef, I know you’ve a tonne better potential mate. You gotta let it come out. Don’t hold back. I saw a lot of foreigners and out of kerala customers but don’t cut corners to adjust the flavors. Nowadays people are here in kerala to feel that authentic flavor and taste. They get the bland food where they come from anyway.
Hoping a better experience next time tough, cheers."
